Kobido has always been much more to me than a sequence of facial massage movements. The deeper I went into the technique, facial anatomy, fascia, the lymphatic system and nervous-system regulation, the more I wanted to create a treatment that could bring all of this knowledge together in one personalised ritual.
That is how the Kobido Signature Ritual by Justyna was created. It is my most complete facial treatment and the direction in which Kobido Amsterdam is evolving: an advanced, intuitive and highly personalised Kobido massage in Amsterdam, built around what your face and body need on the day of your appointment.
If you have been wondering what the difference is between the Kobido Lift Ritual and the Kobido Signature Ritual, this guide explains both treatments and why Signature has become the treatment so many of my clients now choose.

From Kobido Lift to Kobido Signature
The Kobido Lift Ritual is based on a structured flow of fundamental Kobido techniques. It combines facial stimulation, lifting movements, lymphatic work and relaxation. It remains a very good choice for clients who come regularly and want to maintain facial tone, support circulation and use Kobido as part of a preventive approach to visible signs of aging.
I also continue to use this fundamental Kobido flow as a base within selected treatments. For example, it can prepare the face before deeper intra-oral work in the Kobido Buccal Sculpt ritual.

The Signature Ritual goes further. Instead of following one general sequence, it gives me the freedom to select and combine the techniques I consider most effective and most appropriate for the person in front of me.
What Is the Kobido Signature Ritual?
Kobido Signature Ritual by Justyna is a 75-minute personalised facial ritual combining advanced Kobido techniques with the additional methods and knowledge I have developed through years of training and daily practice.
The treatment always works beyond the face alone. Depending on your needs, I work with the face, scalp, neck and shoulders, adjusting the time and intensity spent on each area after our consultation.
The flow may include advanced lifting and sculpting, lymphatic techniques, fascia-focused work, tension release, deeper facial muscle work, acupressure and calming techniques designed to support relaxation of the nervous system.
The purpose is not to perform as many techniques as possible. It is to choose the right techniques, in the right order, for your face on that particular day.
Why I Created My Own Signature Flow
Over the last years I have completed eight professional certificates and continued to study facial anatomy, fascia, lymphatic work and the relationship between facial tension and the nervous system. With every training, my toolbox became bigger.
At a certain point, following one fixed protocol began to feel limiting. Two clients can arrive with completely different needs. One may carry strong jaw and temporalis tension. Another may need more drainage and work around puffiness. Someone else may benefit most from lifting, facial sculpting and relaxation around the eyes, scalp, neck and shoulders.
Signature is therefore my authorial freestyle flow. It allows me to respond to what I see and feel in the tissues instead of forcing every face through exactly the same routine.
I have also intentionally selected techniques that, in my experience, create a strong balance between effectiveness and pleasure. The treatment can be technically advanced while still feeling like a ritual you can deeply relax into.
What Makes the Kobido Signature Ritual Different?
The biggest difference is personalisation. Signature is not simply a stronger version of Kobido Lift. It is a broader treatment concept.
- Advanced Kobido techniques mastered through multiple Kobido trainings
- A personalised flow rather than one fixed general sequence
- More freedom to work with fascia, facial tension, lymphatic flow, scalp, neck and shoulders
- A stronger focus on facial sculpting, balance and deep relaxation
- Treatment choices based on your consultation, facial condition and tension patterns that day
- A complete ritual that can also incorporate carefully selected aromatherapy, Japanese skincare and optional energetic elements when appropriate
Kobido Lift Ritual vs Kobido Signature Ritual
Both treatments are rooted in Kobido, but they serve a different purpose. The shorter comparison below is the clearest way to choose between them.

What Happens During a Kobido Signature Ritual?
Every Signature session begins with a short consultation. I ask what you are noticing in your face, how you have been feeling, where you hold tension and what you would like to focus on.
From there, I build the treatment around you. The session may place more emphasis on drainage, lifting, jaw release, fascia, scalp and neck tension, or nervous-system relaxation. The proportions can change from one appointment to the next because your needs can change too.
The ritual can also include cleansing with Merak brushes, doTERRA aromatherapy used at different stages of the treatment, and a Japanese mask selected according to the condition of your skin. Cooling rollers and jade may be used as finishing elements. Reiki can be included selectively when it feels appropriate and is something the client will appreciate.
This flexibility is exactly what Signature was created for: I can use the full range of what I have learned instead of limiting the treatment to one predetermined protocol.
Who Is the Kobido Signature Ritual For?
Signature is particularly suited to clients who want more than routine facial maintenance and prefer a treatment that responds to their individual face.
- facial tension, jaw clenching or a heavy feeling in the face
- puffiness or sluggish lymphatic flow
- loss of facial definition or a desire for natural lifting and sculpting
- tension around the eyes, forehead, scalp, neck or shoulders
- visible signs of stress and fatigue
- a non-invasive approach to facial rejuvenation
- deep relaxation combined with technically advanced facial work
Because the ritual is personalised, the same treatment can have a different emphasis for different clients and even for the same client on different days.
My Kobido Training and Continuous Education
Authenticity matters to me. My work is not based only on techniques collected from unrelated facial massage methods. Kobido remains the foundation.
Among my Kobido education, I trained with Josep Lupion, World Champion of facial massage and a direct student of Dr. Shogo Mochizuki, Grandmaster of the Kobido House. Joseph completed extensive Kobido education over many years in Tokyo. I also continue to study and refine Kobido techniques through online education directly from Dr. Shogo Mochizuki.
Alongside formal training, I continuously study facial anatomy, fascia and the lymphatic system. This ongoing education helps me understand not only how a movement is performed, but why I am choosing it and what I want it to achieve.
My goal is to preserve the character of authentic Kobido while using everything I have learned to create a treatment that feels precise, modern and genuinely personal.
Which Kobido Treatment Should You Choose?
If you already come regularly and your priority is maintenance, prevention and a consistent fundamental Kobido routine, the Kobido Lift Ritual can be a very good fit.
If you want the most complete expression of my work, more advanced techniques and a session built around your individual tension patterns, facial condition and goals, I recommend the Kobido Signature Ritual.
Signature is the treatment that gives me the most freedom as a therapist. It is also the treatment that best represents how my Kobido practice has developed after years of training, observation and hands-on work with clients.
